It might be a good idea to re-upload "Everything Everywhere All At Once" ;-).

Sorry to be a pain, but can you request re-uploads?

@Bella, yes - in the x265 encoding queue. The link is under Quick Links, on the right of every page.

@meridian - Thank you! However, bit of a techno dunce - what's x265? I only download x264 files.

Many Thanks -

I had to post the request as a guest because when I tried to create a log-in, it kept telling me I had to re-submit with an answer to the Captcha challenge - but I never got a challenge - only the 'I am not a robot' checkbox.

Not sure what I did wrong...

I'd like to see if someone would upload Mission Impossible 2 in a 480p Or a smaller 720p x264 format? Thank you in advance

Mission Impossible 2

@Bella

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X265

smaller file size with better quality than x264, however, requires more computer processing power

newer TVs will play them, as will vlc or smplayer on a computer

give them a try, and check cpu usage

So, x265 is the successor of x264. However, the file size of a 1080p x265 is considerably smaller than a 1080p x264 file. Does this mean the video quality is poorer with the smaller x265 file? Sorry for all the questions, but just trying to understand.

@Oscar2 - Thank you so much! Sorry, I posted before I saw your reply. So, the quality is better, but a smaller file size?! That's wonderful! Will request and see how it goes, thank you again!

Just tried a x265 file and you're right, the quality is superior to x264. However, whilst playing on VLC the colour is primarily green and purple, red seems to have vanished. Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

Forgot to add, this is the x265 file I tried out.

@Bella
The DV in the filename stands for Dolby Vision. That is a type of high dynamic range that most monitors can't display properly, thus your greens and purples.
Try the 1080p HEVC from RMTeam on this site (https://rmz.cr/release/luther-the-fallen-sun-2023-1080p-web-hevc-x265-rmteam), or the similar one over on PSARips.

@meridian - Many thanks for the explanation! I'll try the link you suggested and see how that goes... Thanks again!

re: x265 color

just downloaded and viewed Dolby Vision test files from

https://developer.dolby.com/tools-media/sample-media/video-streams/dolby-vision-streams/

on a 1080p monitor with no color problems in vlc & smplayer

It may be a codec issue so:

Try installing a newer version of vlc or try smplayer

https://www.smplayer.info/en/downloads

https://www.videolan.org/vlc/
scroll down to "Official Downloads of VLC media player "

@Oscar2 - Many thanks for the link! I have just downloaded one of the test files and played it on VLC - definitely purple and green. The version I am using is: 3.0.18 Vetinari - isn't that the latest one?
