What a missed opportunity to make a documentary about some very interesting fundamental questions, with the participation of eminent people in their respective fields.

Instead we get an unfunny misplaced comedic & satirical effort at "fart joke" level and amazingly even some toilet humour, and ridiculing everything.
Surely the interviewees knew what they were getting involved in. From 1:05:04 to 1:05:29 the host moves her finger rapidly up & down between her lips while making a strange sound. I kid you not.

What an absolute waste. She could have posed some hard questions to knowledgeable people, instead we get this. Worth watching for just how bad it is, especially the 25 seconds of "lippy fingering"

British humour & documentaries (even the BBC) have taken a nose dive in recent years. What a shame.

Yes, a shame. Warning that it was meant for a certain public, i,e, fans of a silly celebrity ("with her trademark misguided observations" came in the synopsis: but WHY ON EARTH the BBC chose to have this this "silly" host cover these important topics is beyond me. You said it: decline...

Mixing intelligent and lowbrow is not widening viewership (f that's what they're aiming it at) but frustrating. No one gets what they want out of it, and like you say, opportunities are not fully seized.
