One problem here is that there is no 720 HEVC RMTeam encode for many releases Since RMTeam encodes its 720p HEVCs from 720p AVC and there is no 720p AVC source for many releases, hence many shows don't have 720 HEVC encodes. At the same time, those releases all have 480p AVC since RMTeam encodes its 480p AVC from 1080p AVC sources.
It's 2021 and there is no need to have 480p AVC anymore! I strongly recommend that RMTeam discard its 480p AVC encodes altogether and start encoding its 720p HEVCs from 1080p AVC sources.
The only advantage of 480p AVC encodes is their small size while 720p HEVC have almost the same size and also much better image quality. Any PC manufactured in the last 11-12 years can easily play HEVC (720p or 1080p) and any smartphone manufactured in the last 5-6 years is capable of playing HEVC. At the end of the day there seems to be no reason to still have 480p AVC and wasting resources on low-quality encodes.
Admin, please stop encoding 480p AVC and start encoding 720p HEVC encodes from 1080p AVC sources.
