Thanks! I had mu doubts about Mark matter but now I'm invested... but yeah, Dark City/The cleaner it a much more acquired taste. I watched it but can't say I liked it.
I would have never thought of watching pyramid game (since it's teenage driven isn't it? which often turns me off) but maybe I'll have a look...Did you see 8 game? It's a "cleaner" version of a quite dark webtoon... (social experiment also).

@MeH @Oscar2 about how the world should be rules: it's not simple. Wouldn't you say what is goimg on in Gaza is indeed anarchy, in a sense? when those in power have the flag and run amok despite people n their own ranks being against it... So Now we have "the one" vs "the many", and as some would say "dictator vs terrorists". it is, indeed, totally a point of view issue. n a perfect world wisdom would have to rule: emotion is scary, pure logic is also scary (think of AI). But one would have to debate what wisdom is, and who and how many posses it would become an issue. n psychology, there are 8 levels of moraity/ethical development and most people are stuck at quite a conventional level (the law is the law, listen to authority figures). We'd be left with too few to "rule" the masses, and the masses being so used to be ruled by force,remove threat, who follows? actually chaos follows. The change would have to take place over do long, and we had that time, and we had moral thinkers all along... it's utopic to think of change.

But to follow Oscar's idea... small countries could be OK'd to set up to try things not tried before (it would have to be countries that does not posses oil or whatever the world fights over but have enough of everything to sustain their population independently, that is also a problem). Citizenship could be obtained via moral testing and/or oath to whatever program you want n place. It would have to start from scratch... My head hurts thinking of how many variables there are to account for. Actually, change almost always comes from violent confrontation since apes stated making tools so...

People use the example of Noway and its neighbours )the welfare states) as good leftist governance. But there are 2 big problems there: one is they have what they have tru outsourcing what they don't want to do/ what is cheaper to poor countries, so it's a bit hypocritcal. Second, what they don't outsource, they have immigrants do, and there is a big rise of the right wing over there. So while the government is leftist, not everyone is on board. And that's the best example.

If you've seen the show "Travelers", it offers a good example of what happens when AI make decisions vs people (both fail there). The computer model doesn't take emotional changes in people along the way (one AI for how many billion people across so many years!) while people grow very impatient with what they see as "errors" due to lack of humanity aka its all good so long as it doesn't hit to close to home. Example: 10 have to die to save 500k, good. One of those is your sister, bad. Humans will never accept being decided for as long as they are adversely touched by a decision, whoever makes it, and despite having voted for them.

Sorry to have gotten engrossed by this and taken a lot of space when I know you aleady know all this but (I wont give TMI here), this is what my life is about.
