So I'm new here, and I'm not sure if this is the right place for a request...But I was hospitalized in feb, and found I missed like one episode of a few different shows links were dead before I got released. If someone could re-post Banshee S03E08 I'd be greatly appreciated.

My old DVD player would only play avi files via burned disk or usb (AFG seems the best) but I did not want to spend the money on a blu-ray since I do not see that being around a long time.. I purchased the Chromecast and can play all my old AVI as well as MKV and MP4 now. Worded great for me for $30 bucks I can send straight to the TV thru Chorme Browser having VLC on the machine and using extension Videostream (all free) as well as from a Plex Server (free)

Personally, I prefere MKV files, which I transfer to an USB stick and play them on an stand-alone BD player hooked up to my A/V system. However, the encoder YIFY "only" make mp4 files, and encodes tons of new, rare, classic and older movies that nobody else does - which all available through warez-bb.org... probably the best website around. Still, I higly appreciate RMTeam for their own 480P files.

I sympathize with the XVID/AVI boosters here. I prefer mkv and mp4; they look better and are more convenient in terms of availability and size. My bluray player has no problem playing them from USB.

Not so for other players. Compatibility for other formats is hit-or-miss. I grab shows and movies for others in my family. Here is what we have:

1. A blu-ray player that can do XVID, mkv, and mp4, and even DIVX, but cannot play XVID with QPEL. (Also, for some reason, files encoded at 25fps often play with a judder or "stop-motion" effect, especially during panning.) [This is my player. I mostly watch stuff on my PC anyway.]

2. A blu-ray player that will only do XVID, even though it claims it supports x264 mkv's and mp4s. [This is for my brother and his son. They also watch on laptop].

3. A DVD player with USB that will only play XVID, but not older DIVX (yes, I have some old rips in that format). [This is the player my parents, who are in their seventies, use. There is no way they will ever stream from a PC to watch things. I might try to get them a bluray player, but there is no guarantee that it will actually support the formats as advertised.]

So, to keep everyone happy, I get XVIDs for anything the older folks will handle and anything that my brother/nephew want to see on bigger screen. Anything for me only is x264.

Having XVID AVIs available is the best option, and is much appreciated, and I can't see how it is a problem for those who don't want it. Isn't it better to have a variety to choose from?

I now have a media player which are not that expensive really & it plays every format so far (I have not tried an x265 yet. Must remember to try 1)on my TV which was approximately 4 yrs old. I have in the last 2 weeks bought a new 42 inch TV thxs to someone that's close to me BUT still run all movies, tv series through the media player. Only thing I'm finding is the low audio volumes.
People go on about the x265 being awesome but in everything I have read they say there is very little difference so guess I had better try 1 lol. Hang in their folks the world has not ended yet

There is plenty of sites available that still post AVI files of both present movies and TV shows. Do the research... although, I´ve mentioned one hellava great website in my previous post. Just register and see for your self. A BD player that plays MKV files can be bought for as low as $40. Alternatively, use your PC and connect to TV with HDMI. However, I prefer MKV and soon HEVC. Finally, please don´t bash each other... be nice! And respect and appreciate what the RMTeam has made available. Enjoy!

I agree, avi is junk on home media not so bad on tablets and smartphones because they download faster than mkvs using cell towers

Hi, all you wonderful people...

I´m a 48-year-old-geezer from Scandinavia, and do whatever I can do to stay on top of the electronic development as well as file/container development. It is a MUST!

However, I do understand and respect that personal finances and preferences are always subjective and limited - where ever you live in the world.

But the technology is always evolving, and one (some how) has to follow what the market demands - whether one likes it or not.

We have passed the Betamax/VHS era and soon the Xvid/AVI/MP4 era. For those who do not have the means to buy the latest Audio/Video electronics let us help each other the best way we can entertainment wise as to sourses or how to re-encode via free software.

The RMTeam is a business, which we all appreciate for making movies and TV-shows available to us for free. Just don´t complain over the RMTeam for the descision they make.

Not long ago there was a twit can't even remember his ID now that ran on and on about stuff avi & blah blah drove everyone nuts BUT u lot have been great with all your knowledge etc. I to will keep using my XP Pro till it really does die in a hole have found nothing yet that isn't compatible for anything I use so far plus always a way around most things & yes including torrents BUT have never needed to use them since Limewire lol.

Thanks for the magic 8 ball reference. I have been using one for all my financial decisions for years; works much better than paid professionals and gets the job done!

Much thanks for the hevc encodes.
Re: The Flash

The bots are still posting last week's episode and that too from a p2p hdtv source
when we already had p2p wed-dl

I think we can save the site's resources if this queue is better handled here.
