@kojo You have missed the news. Openload has been raided and shut down along with two of its satellite sites. The owners have agreed to not reopen. There will not be any more OL links.

I just want to bring to RMZ admin attention that recent Clicknupload links are not usable, as they are simply links to the home page and not to the actual movies/series that were uploaded.

@cd, That indicates a bad upload. They used to show the link as '\undef' but peeps thought was an actual link so they dropped it. Please remember that all uploading is done by bots (scripts) and if there is a failure the bot just moves on. It does not come back and retry. The only host that gets re-uploads is RR. Sorry, that's just the way t is.

Are uploads not being cataloged under their categories anymore? It seems that all the categories aren't being updated with any new releases.

Hey,

like the site much for the older dvd/br rips!

I wanted to inform you that there are three new Aurora Teagarden movies out, but strangely you didn't get those.
See here: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0121026/

What's with all the 000 movies that are being put up. When I put my cursor on them, no title shows, nothing. Then, when I got to the 000 link, there's no movie title or IMDB link. I have to copy the movie title from one of the releases links, go to google and find the IMDB ling that way. I thought it first was just a glitch, but I keep finding them. What gives?

ClicknUpload is no longer fast and reliable, it's been slowing to a crawl as of late, the transfers routinely freeze/shut down and then you have to manually revive them multiple times before they finally come in. Hours later.

I know I'm a cheapskate that sounds ungrateful, but it's becoming ridiculous.

Would mega.nz be totally out of the question? It's literally the only file hosting site that's NEVER slow.

@jrr and everyone, There's some facts you're missing.

Openload is dead and gone, no bringing it back.

Google has been blocking Adsense, the people that pay the host sites for the ads you have to watch. No money- no or bad service and sites shut down. This is the latest attack from the rightsholders and copyright trolls. It is having effects everywhere. If successful, it could spell the end of free downloading.

I'm sure there will be a work around but when is in question and host sites are already strained.

@jrr and everyone, I should also address the Mega.nz question as well. Mega has be embroiled in legal issues and are blocked in much of the world for hosting pirated files. They are fighting back with proof that they are following DMCA law (oddly, largely honored in most of the world) which protect 'Safe Harbor' sites IF they strictly enforce take-down notices. I know some smaller pirate sites (like PSA) do use them but they don't want or need huge sites like rmz, scenerls or rlsbb dumping TBs of copyright-infringing files on them.

For me, ClicknUpload has always been rather slow, with it's ups and downs. Now it's slower than ever for me.

For now, I think Dropapk is much faster than ClicknUpload, thus I no longer use CU much anymore.

Beyond what Raada said, note that file hosts like ClicknUpload can slow download speeds for most any reason, such as in dealing with specific users who block ads and/or who use VPNs, or because they're in a sucky country that they block (e.g. China).

TIP: Use download software that speeds up your downloads and helps keep the DL connection open, and don't DL anymore then 2 files at the same time from the same host.

With the software I use, I get at least twice the DL speeds and the connections stay open most of the time.

As for Mega, it's likely not a profitable option for most sites like RMZ. Also, due to its limitations, I think WeTransfer is a much better alternative than Mega.

@Raada

Is Mega is blocked in much of the world for hosting pirated files?.. Hmm, I didn't know that.. Hmm..

Regardless, true that IF rightsholders and copyright trolls are successful it COULD spell the end of free downloading for sites like RMZ who depend on profit.. Yet as you know, true P2P/BT file sharing within "The Scene" doesn't explicitly require profit.. In fact, many folks in The Scene still despise sites who profit from their work, yet many others in the BT community have gladly joined in on such profits.. Regardless, safely accessing The Scene via BT for "free", is for the most part no longer a free option for many users, such as in the USA and such, where paying for extra services is required, and continuously seeding swarms is often expected.

Ultimately, I think media pirates will continue and prosper until all related hardware uses DRM that kills it and/or all ISPs effectively block it, but that won't happen any time soon, if ever.. Yet if that does ever happen, then underground hardware and networks will become a big thing, and the cyberpunk age begins.

That's weird, when I clicked "submit comment" a *.gz file was requested for DL (which I canceled), and my comment was posted twice.

Hmm, not a good sign.
