@meridain

No worries. I'm taking it all in stride :)

To answer your question from weeks ago, my parents insisted on a good education and I've always liked reading and language. Plus, I've had to write technical instructions for non-technical people, so I've had to learn how other people think and communicate.

Nice to know I have a friend, as well as my own personal troll. Cheers!

@meridian

Cool. I see you also have a talent for "knowing" without being a "know it all", although I guess GodsGift would beg to differ.

As a writer, my last gig was cleaning up a site for a large multinational company. If you're ever interested in such work let me know; maybe I could use your help? I'm in the process of starting a company so I can hook some more stable contracts. My targets of late are non-English tech companies who lack a genuine voice in the North American market.. As you may imagine, it's not too hard to find companies in such need, but negotiating is often a bear.

@peymanusa

LOL. I guess you can be a troll too, ha. FYI, I did some work for a conglomerate of Opera, so I know the gig with them. As you may know, HÃ¥kon Wium Lie was the big brain behind Opera, and he founded the Pirate Party of Norway. But those days are over for Opera. It's all about marketing now, which is fine by me.. I still use opera for some stuff.

So I take it you're a Persian/Iranian American? If so, I've found that the IR pirate scene is somewhat of an enigma. Beyond that, I've dug enough there to learn not to dig there, ha. Regardless, I'm a fan of pre-Arab Persian culture, such as with Cyrus the Great and Zoroaster.

@GodsGift

I thought you were just a troll, but you're so much more. So tell me, what made you meridian's nemesis?

@theone

I'm not a psychiatrist, but I reckon there has to be some medication for your condition.

Thank you for reconsidering on UL support. Great news for me as I suffer from boanthropy.
Have you considered supporting Hotfile?

Thanks again!

@bearman

There is no series called - The Gomer Pile Show.

It's called - Gomer Pyle USMC. The scene often just calls it - Gomer Pyle.

Thanks for even mentioning it, as it got me searching. As such I just found it on a semi-private FTP site, along with tons of other classic TV series. When I'm done there I'll point you to it if you want.

@meridian

Thank you for all the info, but you are wrong. Strike Back is clearly a UK/USA TV series.

Besides that, I see you like uploaded. I don't like it. It is buggy, slow, and many files get removed right away.

Okay then. I just finished getting GP from there (161+ mb files, TV rips @ 1.5 mbps dl speed), and it looks good, except for one file which was marked as bad. I was able to replace it via alluc dot ee > Gomer Pyle s05e17.

All 5 seasons are represented on this FTP source (121 files total), but there's some missing episodes. This may be due to licensing, IDK.

Now, I have nothing to do with this FTP site, but I know if too many people DL from there at once it will likely close. Yet, it's been up for years, so it will likely stay that way if we don't abuse it. As such, let me know when you're ready and I'll point you to it. I'm thinking the best way to point you to it is via PM on VOAT dot co, so if you sign up on VOAT I can send you a private message to your inbox. It's easy to sign up on VOAT, no email confirmation needed. Also, if you use Opera, they have a free VPN (NL worked for me). So, if you go with VOAT, just post your user name here so we can connect there. This minimum privacy will just make sure you get a good chance to access it. Otherwise, if you feel lucky I can still post it here. Let me know what you want to do either way.

For our safety, I will not send you any URLs. I will just point you to it; known resources likewise found through Google, but not that easy to find.

Also for your safety:

Turn off JavaScript while accessing FTP sites.

As need be, scan URLs and files via VirusTotal or the like.

If you use a bulk downloader (recommended), make sure you can trust it or put it on a short leash. I use DownThemAll via Basilisk on an expendable, dedicated box (semi-air gapped) and router with a VPN. As DownThemAll is outdated, I guess Wget is the most secure option now but it has no GUI. Other than that, I guess you need to pay to have a good bulk downloader, IDK, I'm still looking for better free options.
