Hi Admin :) Has Australia gone to sleep? Still waiting for A Place To Call Home S05E03 and the double finale of 800 Words S3E07-S3E08. Please wake them up and share. Thanks :)

Hi,
Still waiting for A Place To Call Home S05E03 seems that it is taking longer and longer for this particular series?? Is it possible to get 480p encoded??

Thanks so much!

@Anon

Try reading Yusuf's post again. 3G That's cellular. First, that's very slow. Second, cellular data is costly.

He's not good.

Oh. Have to throw a temper tantrum when you're proven wrong? Why don't you go sit in a corner and suck your thumb until you can grow up.

@Yusuf

I recommend you use a proxy. There are even some free ones out there. Better yet, spend just a few dollars per month and get a VPN service. It's much better at protecting your privacy, as well as solving problems like yours.

@Anon

Yes, you did explain why their IP address was banned. Those were good facts.
Then you claimed that since they could access the site with a 3G connection, they were good. That's where you're wrong.
I pointed that out to you and you got pissy.
You're still pissy.
Looks like you need more time in the corner.

@Yusuf

Perhaps your home router or system is/was hacked. If a DDoS attacks went through your system, then there you go. Also, although they can work great, there's no guarantee that using any VPN or proxy will work as DDoS attackers use those as well, so do your homework. I would start with Opera, as it has a free VPN. Yet keep in mind that whole ranges of IP addressees get blocked, even whole countries. Sites like this make most money off of users from wealthy countries (via ad partnerships) and they sometimes ban other areas known for DDoS attack issues and such. TIP: Depending on where you live, before spending more money I would check out DDLs. Also, try opening an account here during non-peak hours, as using this site tends to work better when you're logged in. Lastly, check to see if friends in your area have the same issue on their home computers. If all else fails, there are other sites. Digging through duck duck go provides the best results IMO.

@anon

This is a community forum. As such, it works best if WE work together to expose and support the best solutions, without being a repugnant snob.

@Anon

First, what buckaroo said - community forum, general discussion area - we're all free to jump in and discuss things.
Second, you misunderstand me. My desire is to correct bad information and give good information. Your solution to Yusuf's problem was to tell them they don't have one. You did give them good info about IP banning, so I didn't address that.
Third, no matter if you say please with sprinkles on top, telling someone to fuck off is NOT polite.

As you know, it's sad when such know-it-alls get triggered when they feel that others are pointing out their shortcomings for no good reason. And then they attack others with what they are guilty of, ha. Seems to me their main struggle is often with themselves, misguided by their broken moral compass. But I understand their feeling as I still remember what it was like when I was 9, ha.

@buckaroo

I'm being misunderstood again. What get's me is when people jump all over others, especially cursing at them, for pointing out their errors.

Did I do it as nicely as I could, with Anon? No, because they came of as a dismissive know-it-all ass, making assumptions instead of truly helping, and I reacted. I'm not perfect.

Did I go downhill a bit, continuing the discussion with a few barbs and taunts? Sure. Simply put, with some people I'm done caring and holding hands. I return what they give and see if they fucking like it. Obviously, Anon doesn't.

@meridian

Who knows. Maybe Anon was trying to troll Yusuf but you thwarted that goal thus the rant?

Regardless, I often find such conflicts somewhat entertaining, as I'm a borderline contrarian, among other good things, ha.

BTW, you write well. So what's your gig?

I'm an underpaid copy editor and overpaid artist of sorts.

@I Pee Bans

That's funny, I was thinking as much, but I didn't know all those details, such as with Opera.. Thanks.

That "triggering" feature is the mystery, as we are not privy to that info. Even Google search will block signed-in users in the USA, asking for a captcha, for no clear reason.

In the end I guess such security involves heuristics were some good folks still fall through the cracks.

@Jay77

Yup, IP addresses change, I guess it's musical chairs. Also, I'm sure you know there's other things they can use to identify and ban users, such as mac address and system specs. Also, depending on laws in an area and policies, I imagine an ISP could partner with Cloudflare to track users and black list them as need be. Also, I bet Google has some useful info to sell in that respect.

That said, being in the USA I have little need to pay for a VPN yet. But for others having issues, sure; you gotta do what you gotta do.

@Chopster

It's likely a number of things already mentioned, but I think you're spot on with the idea that Cloudflare does meltdown here under heavy use. I get access issues sometimes here but I just refresh the page once or twice, log in, and I'm good to go. IDK, but I imagine rmz could pay more for a better Cloudflare service, but I guess it's not worth it as things are.
