Try the uBlock Origin extension. If that doesn't do it, try the Brave browser plus uBlock Origin. Brave is built on Chromium, just like Chrome, and has blocking functionality ("Shields" built in. The shields can be turned off in case they break a website.
Also, if you're using incognito/private mode, make sure the uBlock Origin extension is enabled for that mode.

@MrMayhem was already typing then I saw Meridian post while doing some test with other browsers but I'll just post anyways. With Ublock Origin no redirects on chrome, when I disable it and click slow download a new tab opens but UBO stops it from loading. In the Brave browser whether or not the shield(built in adblocker) is up or down still no redirects. Firefox with UBO on, no redirects. When disabled then firefox popup blocker neutralizes them.

@Luxurious On the size limit issues uploads are done by bots, if it fails the bots just moves on. You'll see this in random series episodes too.

No problems here, must be Jdownloader (i don't use it, it may be user friendly but doesn't want me on its friend's list.). Maybe people behind it will push a fix soon for it and things will be back to right, you have reported the bug issue to them right? I have No issues with Chrome and minimal common sense security

Well except with subtitles, the srt files, which require, doing on the final page, then select "inspect page" and look at code for the button's http address. Then select link in code and open as a new tab. Which triggers the normal download, because the chrome browser doesn't understand Srt files through CU's interface for some reason.

Otherwise just going through Normal Chrome browser with basic options like Ublock Origin, Adgauard Ad block (common sense blocking lists) and Universal bypass. No Miner blockers. If & when the "Click Upload changes things the adblocking list coding folks usually patched it within in 1-2 days. It helps to report an issue if you find it. As sooner it is reported, sooner someone fixes, or adapts around issue. Until then, I use the same trick of landing page , wait count down, enter numbers, get the real download page, Then chose to "inspect page code"(right click option "inspect", Select edit code/attribute for the button's area to highlight url for file and then open as new tab and download starts correctly. Only have due this every 4-6 months.

Have a DNS Kill file (is Viper still doing the windows one?) that kills the worse advert offenders by blackholing them so their domains never resolve but to your own hard drive(nothing= dead url), no pop up windows no redirects etc... May help with the worst offenders on Click Upload pages.

Do Try whitelisting them for some times though, when they get bad with the redirects and abusive crap slam back on the filters. Let them make money to fund the service but when they cross the line make sure they feel by blocking all ads. No one wants to see ads but it giving something back to keep the services stay alive(cash or time your choice), if not you'll(we'll all) be chasing files on facebook type crap again.
